EEV valve hammer?

EEV valve hammer?

EEV valve hammer?

(OP)
Has anyone experianced problems with EEV valve hammer occuring predominantley on liquid lines whilst using EEV's? If so,is there a solution to this problem?

RE: EEV valve hammer?

If the sensitivity is to close  the valve could have a tendency to open and close rapidly. Superheat Set Point - A set point, which represents the difference between the coil-in and coil-out temperatures, that is used to cycle the EEV to keep the coil flooded.
Superheat set points are defaulted for different case types and temperature ranges when case types are programmed into the CCB via the hand-held terminal.
When in doubt...Punt!

RE: EEV valve hammer?

You should have no problems with water hammer with the many step motor operated EEVs that are available.  Pulsing solenoid valve type EEVs, however, can create water hammer if the conditions are correct as would any standard solenoid valve.
