Dear Every one

I have Solidworks 2003 and Cosmos works 2003 SP1.2. I am trying to model a action/performance of a composite (stacked) compression spring which has 7 helix. It takes in excess of 1.5 hours to do a static study. I would like to know how should I go about reducing the time required to do this study. I have applied mesh control on to the each component. However I have set the Contact/Gaps touching faces to "Node to node". I think this is where it extends the analysis. I don't know if there is an other way to stop material from collapsing in to it self.

Can any one suggest any thing?

Thank you
MK2000
