Internet Explorer Search Function Question

Internet Explorer Search Function Question

Internet Explorer Search Function Question

(OP)
This may not be the proper forum for this question, but I thought I would try here first.

I have an issue with Internet Explorer.
First, the facts.
I am running Win 98 with IE 6.0.2800.1106, SP1 installed.

The problem:
When I click on the search icon, the search window comes up on the left portion of my screen, (as it should). I click on the “Customize” button, but nothing happens, (this is not normal). Also, any settings I change in the search options in the “Advanced” tab under “Tools/Internet Options” seem to have no effect. Any search I attempt utilizes netselected.com and shows all links in the main window.
What have I done wrong, or what can I change to get this back to normal operation?

I tried searching the knowledge database on the Microsoft website, but no similar topic is listed.

If there is a better forum for this topic, please advise.

RE: Internet Explorer Search Function Question

This type of question will probably get better answers on the Tek-Tips website.
