(OP)
I'm trying to find out how much resource (both human and financial) the 3 companies mentioned expend in the field of automatic truck and bus transmission engineering R+D.

The ZF annual report gives a fair amount of info. on group spends and activities, the Eaton report gives just the $ figure spend for the whole corporation, and the Allison R+D spend (assuming it exists) is wrapped up in the GM $billions.

If there are any public domain data out there that anyone knows of, I would be grateful to hear about it.

Thanks in advance for any info I receive as a result of this post.

Billsy.

RE: ZF, Eaton and Allison Research & Development Activities

Billsy,
The annual corporate reports are intended to ensure the company concerned is complying with whatever financial conditions apply in the relevant country so perhaps a direct request may be a better way to go as I think most would be more than happy to wave their own flag and promote the R&D aspect of their operations.

Cheers, Pete.
