Patterns on Surface

(OP)
I am trying to put together a new kitchen look for a friend of mine and would like to put a checkered tile look on the floor.  Is there a way to apply a graphic image to a surface in an assembly.

RE: Patterns on Surface

Create a folder for your custom textures.

Go to TOOLS>OPTIONS and create a file location for TEXTURES with the above folder.

Go to your_sw_install_folder\shaders_soft\textures\thread.png and copy to that folder. Edit the image according to your needs.

In SW select the surface and go to EDIT/APPEARENCE/TEXTURE. Select the custom folder and created image. Select the controls (dimension and orientation) according to the disered finishing.

Regards

I have made a folder to place the textures in.  When I try to make the file location to the folder, I don't have the option for TEXTURES.  Also, I cannot find the thread.png file that you mentioned and I don't have the APPEARANCE option in my EDIT menu bar.  Am I doing something wrong.  Please help.
