Sprocket tooth profile

Sprocket tooth profile

(OP)
Hey guys,

I'm in a position where I need to cut a lot of sprockets. Of course, existing sprocket manufacturers aren't too keen on giving me the profile of the tooth, and I've had no luck google-hunting.

Can anyone point me to an information source for the correct design of sprocket teeth? The pitch is around the 8mm mark, approximately 50 teeth, 4-6mm thick, to give you an idea of the size I'm dealing with.

Thanks,

Col.

Try ANSIB29.1 1975 it will give you some sizes to compare you wheel against. It is also in Machineries Handbook brown6
