Flammable mixtures Ternary Diagram construction

I am studying a process where methanol, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen is present in the gas stream and I would like to know if there is any technical paper, website or excel spreadsheet where ternary diagram construction and its formulas are explained to determine the flammable zone for the mixture of these gases.
Thank you for your help

RE: Flammable mixtures Ternary Diagram construction

Check out FT Bodurtha, Industrial Explosion Prevention and Protection, McGraw-Hill. It spells out how to make those ternary diagrams. Check out Graph Paper Printer 3.3.1 (free) to make that triangular graph paper.

HAZOP at www.curryhydrocarbons.ca

RE: Flammable mixtures Ternary Diagram construction

I would like to refer to Carl Branan's "Rules of Thumb for Chemical Engineers", 2nd ed., Gulf Publishing, pages 276-278.

Some of his sources were:
Coward H.F. and Jones G.W., "Limits of Flammability For Gases and Vapors," Bureau of Mines Bulletin 503, 1952.

Heffington, W.M. and Gaines, W.R., "Flammability Calculation for Gas Mixtures," Oil and Gas Journal, November 16, 1981.

Thank you all of you for your useful references
