AutoCAD 2000 3D Exploded block just disappears!

AutoCAD 2000 3D Exploded block just disappears!

(OP)
I received a drawing from someone that wanted me to do some minor modifications.  The drawing is 3D wireframe and the pieces that are to be modified are part of a group or a block. When I explode the block or group to work on it, the whole thing just disappears.  I tried to wblock the group to another drawing, but the same thing happens.  Any suggestions?

RE: AutoCAD 2000 3D Exploded block just disappears!

What release of autocad are you running?

You may check to see that all of your layers are 'on' and that none are 'frozen'.  When you explode a block, the objects in the block resort back to their original layers.  So if that layer is 'frozen' or 'off', when you explode they will seem to disappear but are only hidden from view.
