Flow meter....

Flow meter....

Flow meter....

(OP)
Hello,

I would like to know where can i find some information on flow meters for liquids's.

Best regards, Carlos Cardoso

RE: Flow meter....

Do you mean turbine flow meter?
If yes, try this term in www.go.com, you will get lot of it.

RE: Flow meter....

There are many types of instruments that can measure liquids flow rate. Orifice, turbine, PD, sonic, annubar, vortex, and many many types. To properly select a type, you shall define at least the following:
1-    liquid name (cleanness, corrosive…)
2-    Flow rate range, Pressure, Temp. viscosity, SG
3-     Line size
4-    Accuracy (fiscal measurement ?)
5-    Output form (4-20 ma, pulse, local indication.
If you are looking for industrial manufacturers then you can check
Emerson (Daniel Ind.), Brooks, FMC,
There are other manufacturer who are specialized in low flow measurements

RE: Flow meter....

There are many different types, turbine, rotometers, magnetic, and positive displacement types measure volumetric flow whereas thermal and coriolis types are mass flow meters. You need to think about the application. Things like cost, user interface, accuracy, compatability with the material being measured, etc.

A Google search ought to help point you to what you need.
