Source for tensile and creep properties of type 314 SS

Can I find a source for the tensile and creep properties of type 314 stainless steel.

RE: Source for tensile and creep properties of type 314 SS

Information on 314 S/S is hard to find. All you will find is some room temperature properties.
The material is used mainly in furnace belts and some medical devices.
An FEA study on furnace belts used the properties of 310 S/S in lieu of 314 S/S as none were available.  This study didn’t include creep, but it says the are going to.

314 S/S has the following specs.
AMS 5522
AMS 5652
UNS S31400

The website with the FEA study is,

www.wire-mesh.com

If data for 314ss does not exist how did it find the applications in high temperature furnaces.
Does any one know who makes the wire out of this steel for furnace belts.

Check Thread 330-79177 for belts.

Your best bet would be to put out a RFQ to some of the wire suppliers and see what you get.

Check out this website.  They have shaped wire also.

My wire buddy says depending on the size and shape you want you may have to have some draw/form it for you.

Most mesh belts evolved rather than being designed.  If some on said some material was better you tried it.
