copy a drawing

(OP)
hi
i just start with pro/e
can some one telle me if it'is possible to copy a drawing from this enviromment to other under  windows ( word, autocad,....) and is there any labrary for electrical drawing ( one lines diagramme, logics,...)

RE: copy a drawing

Hello,

To copy the drawing, select FILE, SAVE A COPY, change the Type to TIFF , change the drawing name if required and change the directory, if required.  You can then insert this into WORD, EXCEL. For AUTOCAD, I think you will need to change type to DXF. I'm not sure as we don't use AUTOCAD.

As for the library, I've no idea as I am MEchanical.

Hope this helps.

RE: copy a drawing

Yes, you can.
There are so many ways it is incredible.
Everything grom a screen dump to exporting a DXF.
I generally export them as PDF files so any one can READ them.  I must point out that once you do this the drawing will become a "DUMB" drawing an you will loose all the parametric associativity that makes this program great!

The termanology you are looking for is called a symbol in Pro/E. I am sure there are elecrical templates for the system somplace, I would do a google search for {"Pro/E" "symbol library" electrical).  That shoud yeild something of use.  You create a drawing (or part) and place the line symbol on your print.

Hope that helps.  I can see that the by the verry nature of your question that you have a lot to learn.  I hope that time is fun and enjoyable!

RE: copy a drawing

Drawings can be exported as AutoCAD files directly, there's no need to export DXF and insert it in an AutoCAD drawing.
