How to insert BMP into Acad200 dwg?

How to insert BMP into Acad200 dwg?

How to insert BMP into Acad200 dwg?

(OP)
I have inserted them using Insert-Raster Image.
However, empty rectangles are displayed if the source files change location (meaning only references were inserted, not bitmaps themselves).
It's Acad2000 under WinXP.

RE: How to insert BMP into Acad200 dwg?

Hi,

I'm not sure what You mean, but You can't insert images into Autocad. An image is like a reference. You have always two files!!!
If You change the names of the folders or paths AC wouldn't find the images.
Exception: *.bmp and *.dwg are in the same folder. Then You can move both into another folders...

RE: How to insert BMP into Acad200 dwg?

You can insert images, but you can't "bind" it to the drawing.  If the image is moved, ACAD will search the "Support File Search Path".  If it isn't found in the search path, you will get the image-frame without the image.  If you know the location of the image: enter "image" at the command line > select the image > at the bottom of the dialog box, browse for the image and then click "save path".
