PDF Question
(OP)
Here's another pdf question. I have Omron program (.cxp) file that I would like to convert to pdf.
In the past, I have opened the program using the appropriate software and clicked on File -> Print -> Print to file. I was then able to convert the file to pdf.
The only problem now is that I don't have the software for it anymore. I've tried using notepad and word to open the cxp file and then clicking on the 'Print To File' check box in the printer window. I was not able to convert it.
Is there a way to do this or do I need the software for it?
Thanks!

RE: PDF Question
If it's not text of anything recognizable by Office applications, then, yes, you need to get the original program or some sort of translator.

RE: PDF Question
OpenOffice is more known among the free software comunities (linux specialy) but it has a windows version too.
It can read and write almost 100% of the MSOFfice files and export to PDF.
Worth the try.

RE: PDF Question
Install a "HP Color LaserJet PS" that print to "files".
Download and install Ghostscript and Ghostgum (a gui for Ghostscript).
Print the file using that virtual printer and it will create a .prn file.
Using Ghostgum convert it in a PDF and you are done!
