Find/Replace Text In Attribute Definition

Find/Replace Text In Attribute Definition

Find/Replace Text In Attribute Definition

(OP)
Using AutoCAD 2000

I would like to know if it is possible to "Find & Replace" a series of text that's currently in an attribute definition box/style?

Find/Replace works well with regular text settings, but it does not detect the text when it is in an attribute definition box.

Any response will be greatly appreciated!

RE: Find/Replace Text In Attribute Definition

Use '-attedit' , answer no to the first 2 questions (if it suits) and follow the instructions - if its text inside an attribute sentence, when it prompts for 'enter string to change'enter the current value e.g "A/E" hit enter and it asks for new string, enter "B" and it will update all attributes within that block (only the ones you've selected) as find and replace does with text. You'll prob have to play around with it a few times to get it right but this is the command to use.
