EAsm Creation problem

EAsm Creation problem

EAsm Creation problem

(OP)
We have two identical machines here. When we import a STEP file (of an assembly) and perform a "Save As" to save it as a EAsm file one machine creates an Easm file that, when opened in the EDrawing software, has the "Move" icon greyed out. The other machine works just fine. We have no idea what is going on. Has anyone else had this trouble?

The machine that creates the "good" Easm file the EDrawing sowftware does not work on it. Even after a complete removal and reinstall of Solidworks 2003 and Edrawing 2003-SP04, Edraw will crash or lock up when opening a file..... go figure!

Does nayone know what to try to fix both of these situations?

Thank you in advnace for your help.

RE: EAsm Creation problem

eDrawing 2004 is available for download. I am running it with SW2003 sp0. Why not download & try it?

We did try Edrawing 2004 on the second machine and removed it because the "Measure" function was no longer available unless you bought the upgrade software (sounds like PTC!).

I any case since Edrawing works on one machine and not the other this is not the problem.
