I recently have been asked to use a check valve that is inserted between 2 flanges, this is called a "check-all valve". I haven't used such an animal before but looks interesting. Has anybody here had an experience with these? And can you give me some feed back on what you think of this type of check?

We used this or a similar type check valve in Air and N2 lines.  As far as I know they worked satisfactorily.   
I would think twice about using them in system where there could be pressure/flow surge having seen the damage to swing checks and orifice plates.
