molecular sieve shelf life

Hi,
Am doing a cost/benefit analysis of using molecular sieves versus azeotropic dehydration of ethanol. I would like to know how long it would take before I need to replace the adsorbent bed - in general

afaik, a general lifetime of 3-5 years (with continuous replacement of adsorbent loss) can be assumed. i have seen studies which expect a lifetime of 10 years, though i think this is too high a number as all adsorbent would have been exchanged due to losses in this timeframe.

hth,
chris
