Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

(OP)
Was wondering if anyone else has had problems installing SW 2004 with Blue beam Pushbutton PDF already installed?

Everytime I tried to install SW 2004, it would get approx 90-95% through and then crash with the following error:

Internal error 2753

I uninstalled just about everything on my computer until I traced it to Bluebeam Pushbutton PDF v2.1

As soon as I uninstalled Pushbutton PDF the install went smoothly.

I then re-installed Pushbutton PDF v2.1 with a new authorisation code.

Today when I went to install Solidworks 2004 SP1.0, it also completed approx 90% of the installation before coming up with a similar error to the one above.

I then had to uninstall Pushbutton PDF and all versions of solidworks, and start from scratch re-installing Solidworks 2004 SP0.0, and then SP1.0. This all went well without Pushbutton PDF installed, so all I have left to do now is re-install Pushbutton PDF with the new auth. code.

I am running Windows 2000 SP4 on a pentium 4 - 2.0 Ghz computer with 512 Mb of ram.

RE: Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

Roller1,

Are you talking about the freebie Pushbutton PDF that comes with SW, or the full-monty version? I have had issues installing the freebie version, and feel sort of confident that it is because there was already a remnant of it on there already.

I don't remember what the error I got was, but it was similar and non-imformatitve.

I wish there was an option to install, or not-install it, and an option to install it as a seperate program from that other button on the install page.

Have you tried keeping the push button off and just installed SW first?

Did you clean out your registry of all Push button PDF and SW? If not you should before reinstalling.

You should also contact your VAR and have them Call SW directly. They can give your VAR a possible cause for the error number, then maybe even a fix... That's what VAR's are for.

RE: Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

Well, have spoken to Bluebeam, and one of their tech support people will try to post a response here to explain what's going on, and what you need to do in the meantime if there are any problems.

Thanks Mr Pickles and Scott,

I took advantage of Bluebeams offer of the full-blown version of Pushbutton PDF for $99 (for solidworks customers). I thought a lot of users would have taken advantage of this offer and was just interested to see if others have had similar experiences.

I have contacted Blubeam about this problem and they are looking at it now.

Sorry if my post wasnt clear Scott, but I had to uninstall Pushbutton PDF completely before I could install SW 2004 and also SP1.0. The problem is that everytime you have to reinstall Pushbutton PDF you have to contact Bluebeam and wait for an authorisation code.

RE: Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

Here is a direct quote from our VAR on this issue.

"Bluebeam PDF Installation Problems
Because Save As PDF functionality is built in, there have been some problems installing SolidWorks 2004 on systems that have Bluebeam's Pushbutton PDF installed on them.  If you have purchased Bluebeam's Pushbutton PDF or have downloaded the free trial, install SolidWorks BEFORE installing Pushbutton PDF.  If you have already installed Pushbutton PDF, uninstall it, install SolidWorks, then reinstall Pushbutton PDF.  The two work together very happily, but SolidWorks must be installed first."

RE: Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

While I know exactly what VAR's are for (I used to be one), in this case they were as helpful as me. The issue I had installing the SW included version of Bluebeam, didn't replicate itself without some thinking, thus not too repeatable.

If I had some remnant of Bluebeam on my system, then when SW was installed, the Bluebeam install issued an error. Reinstalling over the top at that point. proved successful.

So, yes, you need to completely remove Bluebeam, making sure the printer is gone and any registry remnants are gone, before installing. Otherwise, you have to re-install SW to correct it, whcih takes MORE time than if there was a seperate install for BB on the CD's...

RE: Bluebeam PushButton Pdf

The guy I talked to at Bluebeam said the problem should be fixed with SW2004 SP2.0. Bluebeam and SolidWorks were not in sync about the changes going on with release, SP1.0 etc...hopefully Bluebeam's tech guy will come here and explain better. The only way around it in the meantime is just as you described otherwise.
