Worth it to upgrade R4 attic flexible ducting to R12?

Worth it to upgrade R4 attic flexible ducting to R12?

(OP)
I have just installed R4 flexible duct in my rather well ventillated and somewhat isulated attic (radiant roof sheathing).  I have a substantial amount of this R4 duct in the attic.  Some runs are nearly 20 ft.  Would it be worth my while to buy a larger R8 flexible duct product and slip it over my R4 ducts to give me R12?  My supply and return plenums are very well insulated.  I am in Southern California environement.

Thanks,

HP
