AuotCAD 2004 and SummaSketch digitizer

(OP)
I have a SummaSketch II digitizer, which ran with Auto CAD rel.12 under DOS. Will this same digitizer with new drivers run with AutoCAD 2004 under Windows 98. If I need to go to a new digitizer what Models numbers of SummaSketch III would work?
Thanks

RE: AuotCAD 2004 and SummaSketch digitizer

You are in luck.  I am pretty sure I have used my Summasketch II with ACAD 2004.  It's hard to be positive since I have several digitizers.  Right now am using a Summasketch III  The drivers are built into Win XP I think.  You might want to check out a program called Virtual Tablet Interface.  It is not really necessary for use with Autocad but it enables me to use my digitizer for all my software including Word, Excel, WordPerfect, Windows Explorer, you name it. I just hate the way it is so hard to get the cursor exactly in position using a mouse, especially with high resolution where the icons are small.
