Polypropylene perfromance

Polypropylene perfromance

Forum folks,

I am after some perfomance information for polypropylene material used in the construction industry.

I want to use PP (netting) for reinforcing/ stablising roads and embankments and synthetic fibres in concrete etc but the client wants a design life / prediction for how long the material will last in these environments.

Are there any industry links / research papers out there that have tested PP in different environments and been able to prove up say a design life of 50 years +.

The manufacturers all seem to be rather short on info.

Thanks for you help!

RE: Polypropylene perfromance

You need to get with one of the Geotextile companies, not their representative to get the information you need.   Any of the companies technical rep should have the information you need.

Here are couple of sites.

www.geotextile.com/
