MTEXT editor box missing

MTEXT editor box missing

(OP)
All of a sudden, I can no longer start a mtext or modify mtext. The editor box that use to come up does not anymore. So now I am unable to modify dimensions or any other mtext. I need this when I use stacked fractions. What do I need to do?

RE: MTEXT editor box missing

I don't know if you are like me for making custom menus, buttons etc. Sometimes a simple typo can cause havoc.

For example, the _mtext (with an underscore) command in a menu will bring up the editor box after the first two prompts of "specify corner" and "specify opposite corner".

However, if you typed -mtext ( with a hyphen)all the prompts will only appear on the command line with no editor box.

A shot in the dark maybe, but it's all I can think of first hand. Hopefully it's something that simple.

RE: MTEXT editor box missing

Type in "mtexted" at the command line.  Is the value "internal" or something else?

Thanks yawl, but I have tried those suggestions but was not the trick. However, I did solve the problem!! I had to re-install my Riched.dll file. Everything works like a champ now. Thanks again.
