SP1, is it safe to install?

SP1, is it safe to install?

(OP)
Hi friends

How many of you is runing SW2004 SP1?

Are you having problems? Is it safe to install? (that is, are the major bugs of SP0 corrected without other bugs that can make your life miserable?)

Regards

RE: SP1, is it safe to install?

There are some major bugs repaired with SP1.0. It's hard to really say if it's going to fix any problems your seeing, but you should upgrade nonetheless because SP0 is always more buggy than the next SP. there is no guarantee that SP1.0 has produced a major bug and none of us may see the bug. It could be localized to you... I have seen this happen more than once. Not trying to scare you but when you install any program and its SP you take a chance each time. You never know till you try.

But I haven't seen as of yet.

RE: SP1, is it safe to install?

I am happy with it because it translates Pro/E files. I am unhappy because it hasn't fixed my regression errors yet.

RE: SP1, is it safe to install?

Another unhappiness of mine is that the new drawings have slow performance.

RE: SP1, is it safe to install?

I'm still in the 'double-secret probation' phase of checking it out. SP0 had the dervied config bug that made it useless to us; Im now checking out the tales of changing suppressions/mates in SP1. I *have* found some configurations in the same part file now returning errors, even though all the features in all 3 configs up to this point were identical.

FWIW, my trojan scanner returned a 'hit' on a toolbox part;
 Id think this was less it being an actual trojan that the scanning software now having the ability to find software bugs  :/
