propane requirements for a turbo big block

propane requirements for a turbo big block

(OP)
I have studied the Impco catalogs for info on 425 mixers and found that they will flow around 460cfm and are good to about 300hp. My question is, on a turbocharged big block V8 capable of 700+hp would you require more than 2 of these mixers to adequately fuel this engine? I'm thinking along the lines of 3 mixers. Thanks.

RE: propane requirements for a turbo big block

Dual 425's can provide enough air for 700bhp, but just barely.  Impco does make one larger mixer, the 600, but it requires a little work to make it usable at lower speeds.  Three 425's with related vaporizer related hardware is relatively easy and is used on some commercial stationary engine applications.
