having trouble assembling?

Hello All,

I am having an issue with assembling a catpart to gsd surfaces. could my problem be that this is not possible or must I be going about it the wrong way.

thanks in advance Tim

What I mean is can you assemble to a surface? just a surface without thickness using a part created in part design. I had iges data that I could not assemble to so I thought I could place surfaces where I needed to attach to and assemble it that way do you know what I mean.

Thanks for your reply, Tim

RE: having trouble assembling?

hi,

in your IGS file, does your surface has canonical properties (cylinder, planar faces)?

You can check that if you analyse the surface, if it is a cylinder you will have a radius...

I have R10sp5 and I am able to set some concentricity from 1 surface file to another... but those surface files are made in V5, not IGES...
