ok i kind looked intothis and i dont think its a command maybe someone has already done this set up a button to switch to the next open drawing

Maby this isn't what you mean, but with Ctrl/Tab you switch between drawings in Acad 2000.

ok yes now how could i go about setting a button up to emulate the Ctrl/Tab if anyone has an answer le me know

one more thing the Ctrl/Tab only switches it doesnt maxamize or anything either

A VBA routine assigned to a toolbar button should do the trick. For help with VBA check out www.vbdesign.com for many tips & lots of free code.
