Material Properties 4140/SPS

I have a Canadian drawing that specifies the material to be 4140/sps. I am in Australia and we are manufacturing the component and were wondering what the sps refers to.
Our 4140 grades are only single digit letters, ie: 4140 T. Can anyone help?

RE: Material Properties 4140/SPS

Hmm, only sps I know is SPS (Standard Pressed Steel) in PA.  They all kinds of good fasteners.

RE: Material Properties 4140/SPS

Does the drawing indicate any hardness or other properties?

RE: Material Properties 4140/SPS

I guessed the Atlas in Canada, since a Canadian blueprint.
But, the website listing is New Zealand, so the Atlas in Australia is certainly a candidate.

Thank you all very much.
The 'sps' was related to Atlas Specialty Steels in Canada.
It is an old coding (not used any more) & standard 4140 T is the same as 4140/sps.
