or
Insert->Helical Sweep->Protrusion.
In both cases look up the data for the threads you will need it.

Use Cosmetic threads unless you have a need for actual modeled threads. The regen time when you have several parts in an assembly is just terrible. Even with a good computer. The only time I use real modeled threads is when I am going to do a SLA or some type of rapid prototyping. If it is just for drawings, use cosmetic threads, they do not look as good but in the long run they save valuable time and money.
