tolerance to a hole wizard feature
tolerance to a hole wizard feature
(OP)
I want to add a tolerance to the hole callout when I'm detailing it in a drawing.
I have a part that has 2x dia. 3.1 holes 6dp c 0.2 and I want to put a tolerance of +0.2 -0 on the callout of 3.1. If I 2x click on the dim and go to tolerance it is all grayed out. This was dimed with the hole callout button
We are using 2003 and testing 2004 and haven't got it to work in either.
The only way I have found to get around this is by using the dimension button and force the notes myself. The draw back is I still don't get the tol. in the right place, it wants to go on the chamfer discription and I will loose my link to the part.
Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

RE: tolerance to a hole wizard feature
3.1 +.2/-0 yada yada yada.
Like I said, not elegant but a work around.
Hope that helps and at least know you have someone in agreement with you in this situation.
RE: tolerance to a hole wizard feature
... but you might try this... try editing the calloutformat.txt file located under your C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\lang\english

RE: tolerance to a hole wizard feature
Sounds like a good idea, but not sure how to go about it cause I don't see anywhere in the txt file that it talks about tolerances.
