Difference between PC and Unix

Difference between PC and Unix

Difference between PC and Unix

(OP)
I am running I-Deas on PC which has 2 Gb ram. But I-Deas tells me it can only use about 500 Mb of it and I can not solve some of my problems because of the limtied ram. So I am thinking to get a Unix or Unix server. Anybody could give me some ideas why is that? and If I want Unix, what is out there which is good for my purpose?

Thanks!

Tim

RE: Difference between PC and Unix

change your IDEAS memory setting to manual.
In windows change ur total paging file size for virtual memory to 2000 mb. Then it gets additional memory from hard disk .
In IDEAS change ur total virtual memory limit to about 800-900 mb.
