Microwave wood drying

Microwave wood drying

(OP)
I am interested in finding out as much as possible about microwave wood drying. I understand that it reduces drying times enourmously, but what I am really interested in is how the wood's properties, ie. strength, can be manipulated using treatments in conjunction with the microwave drying process.

I would also like to know if there are any comercial microwave dryers around that I can send wood samples for drying and possibly treatment.

If anyone can help, or can point me in the right direction it would be great.

RE: Microwave wood drying

Hi,
a lot of references were found by just writing your keywords into Google. Are they all not at all relevant to your search?
All the best

Thanks Goahead, I have done searches on Google and although I find several related web sites, they are all research sites. It appears that the concept has not reached commercial reality yet. That is what I am searching for, somewhere I can send samples and get testing done.
