Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

(OP)
I know it has probably been answered before but could someone please point me in the right direction.  I am trying to link specific information from a excel spreadsheet onto an AutoCAD drawing.  I want the AutoCAD drawing to update automatically when I update the spreadsheet.

Thanks
Danjo

RE: Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

Hi...

Is possible with reactors from Visual LISP or an Application in Visual Basic, but everything depends of what you want to do and how. I did something with the two methods...

RE: Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

Did a search of Excel at www.caddepot.com, got many:
http://www.caddepot.com/cgi-bin/dcd/dcd.cgi for AutoBlock for various versions of Autocad.  It has hot-links and real-time update.
Also Excellink LT for Acad LT is here.
And Excellink 2000 & 2004 have bidirectional hotlinks.
Office2Cad has an interesting Excel use for multiple dwgs.
http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/autocad/tutorials/pro... has some tutorials on Excel and AutoCAD.

RE: Linking Spreadsheet information to a Drawing...

You should check out CADminer (www.cadminer.com), which allows for the  automactic importation (via a relational database system) of Excel information right into your drawings. Other programs do this too but CADminer's main capabilities (info. extraction) makes it my choice.
