Section hatch help

Section hatch help

Section hatch help

(OP)
I wonder if anyone can help. I drew a oil filter coner , ita an 1/2 circle about 50 mm dia, with a tube out of one side.  When I used SECTION and made a sectional cut, It wouldnt hatch. I went into the hatch window clicked everything to no avail.  I drew another cylinder in another drawing sectioned that and it hatched ok.  the only thing between the two is the first one is a touch more complicated that the second ..

Any Ideas anyone ???

have i something switched off??

RE: Section hatch help

Dear enfield,
Probably the problem is caused by the complicated geometry of the 3dsolid model. There may be a solution as follows:
1- Save the model in STEP format using the STEPOUT command.
2- Import the model into another drawing using the STEPIN command.
3- Explode the imported model.
4- Try to section the model.
