Internet Explorer Script Error Inventor 5.3

Internet Explorer Script Error Inventor 5.3

Internet Explorer Script Error Inventor 5.3

(OP)
I have installed version 5.3 on my computer w/OS XP Pro.

It works fine, but when I run tutorials I get a "Internet Explorer Script Error"  "Object doesn't support this property or method"

How can I correct this ?

RE: Internet Explorer Script Error Inventor 5.3

Inventor Series 7 and 8 ship with Microsoft hotfix 811630 to address this issue on the installation CD's. You can get more info from Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=811630

I found 2 patches available for download at Autodesk site SP1 and SP2 if you haven't already installed for 5.3, but couldn't find a download for this. It appears that Microsoft Windows Update, (START/ All Programs/ Windows Update from XP or can be accessed from Control Panel),will install this patch. Checking my history it looks like I updated July 03.

RE: Internet Explorer Script Error Inventor 5.3

I get script errors when accessing help from Inventor 8 as well. I'm running XP Pro - any suggestions?
