hydraulic diameter for plate type oil cooler!!
hydraulic diameter for plate type oil cooler!!
(OP)
Can any one tell me about the hydraulic diameter for plate type oil cooler
this oil cooler have louvered center(performance
improvements over traditional offser fin designs)
I want methods or relative papers about hydraulic diameter
The cooler picture- rink here.

RE: hydraulic diameter for plate type oil cooler!!
The computation for hydraulic diameter is simple. However, determining the inputs to the formula may be rather challenging. According to Hesselgreaves in Compact Heat Exchangers: Selection, Design, and Operation, if the hydraulic diameter is dh, the internal (or wetted) volume of the heat exchanger passages is Vs, and the wetted surface area of the heat exchanger passages is As, then the hydraulic diameter is given by the expression: dh=4Vs/As. I hope you will find this helpful.
