Thermal dissipation of concrete

Thermal dissipation of concrete

Thermal dissipation of concrete

(OP)
I am attempting to calculate the rate at which concrete, batched using heated aggregates will loose this heat to the surrounding air when cast as a slab on a cold formation. I am really interested in the period prior to the initial set, before the concrete has started to produce any heat of it's own.

Can anybody tell me how I should go aout calculating the rate of thermal dissipation? What equations should I use? Are there any papers that I could refer to?

Hi  nobler

You should try this site: http//www.hyperpave.com/

Download the demo.  It is a powerful program.  I don't know if it will answer everything you are looking for, but it is worth a look at.
