Performance Still need help

Performance Still need help

Performance Still need help

(OP)
Hello All,

I am running R11 SP4. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other settings I can turn on or off to increase performance, And will my Hardware handle it. I have a Progressive die with about 700 parts that is 500megs. I am running HP XW4100, P4 2.80mhz, 2gig RAM, NIVIDIA 980XGL graphics. We are also running Smarteam. It seems to that saving files is a problem too. Any help would be great.

Kind Regards

RE: Performance Still need help

Your system should be able to handle a model of that size I'm working with models of up to 3000 parts with an IBM petium 4 1700 with a fire gl card and 1GB memory.
This is in 5R10SP3.
I've seen the same model load in 5R12 in about 1/5th the time.
So there is definitely some improvement there.

Turn on Cashing.  Load your assembly. Close your assembly.  Now CATIA will be using CGR or CATIA Graphic Repesentations.  When you need to change a part you will need to activate the part before modification.
