air flow rate in a house for cooling
air flow rate in a house for cooling
(OP)
can anyone tell me if there is an industry standard for air flow rates in a new home construction? how many time should the air go through a system in 1 hour?thanks, sam

RE: air flow rate in a house for cooling
About 8 air changes/hr with air conditioning and 6 air changes with heating or for ventalation only, use 30 CFM/ROOM.
RE: air flow rate in a house for cooling
As imok2 state,it depends on calculation for cooling and heating but do not forget to consider humidity rate.
To provide fresh air only, 30 cfm is good but it changes between 30-60 m³/h (especially for smoke &nonsmoke conditions)
A good standard for this;
ASHRAE STANDARD 62
Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality
