Accurate Modelling & Drawings for Involute Splines

I often design components which use involute splines and until recently I would either model or draw a visual representation of the component (depending on what software I'm using either AutoCAD or Pro/E) and supply a drawing containing a table with all the details of the splines required. I am now finding that most of the manufacturing companies we use are wanting profiles to download into their wire EDM. I am looking for an automated way if possible of creating accurate models or drawings .
The standards we use are BS 3550:1963 or Ansi/Asme B5.15:1960.
Does anybody know of any programs, add-ons or scripts that I could use to facilitate this.

same way. Spline addendums
and dedendums are about 1/2 the
values of gear profiles but the
involute portions would be the
same. I can send you an alisp
file to use in acad but you must
know how to trim the excess profiles
as it draws the involute from the
base diameter to the od or root
diameter of the gear. The pressure
angle is often 30 degrees for a
spline but it is still an involute
curve. Profile shifts are often
used in the module series of splines
but the tooth thickness can be
calculated with the same formulas
as gears.
