Does anyone have any experience with single packaged vertical air conditioning/heat pump units designed for dorms/hotel/motel/apts?  Some of the manufacturers I have heard of are The First Company and Friedrich.

Amana makes a PTAC that is used in hotels, check out their website (www.amama-ptac.com if I remember right).

there are small guys (like myself) out here that make a packaged verticle unit.  Sometimes called SCAVs feel free to e-mail me more details.  Like tonnage voltage and loction of he job maybe we can do something.

Yes. Whalen units. They accompany most of our work in mold litigation. We can't distinctly blame them for all the mold problems, but they happen to be a partner that accompanies a large amount of mold issues. Some of these might relate to overall building operation, pressurization, and humidity control.
