Slide library in Windows XP

I was attempting to make a slide library for image tiles, and the ACAD help files said to use the "slidelib.exe" in DOS. The problem is that it seems WinXP doesn't have DOS in it... How do you make a slide library in WinXP? If this isn't possible, how else can I insert a block through a menu besides using "[Chair]^C^C-INSERT;chair;\;;;" in an .mnu?  I would prefer to use images for the different types of objects to insert.

(WinXP + ACAD 2ki)
