Surfaces in drawing view?

Surfaces in drawing view?

Surfaces in drawing view?

(OP)
Hello,
I have received several Rhino surface IGES files and have not been able to print them with Inventor.  I have sucessfully placed drawing views with Mechanical desktop in the past, and have seen this work in Solidworks.  Ist there a way to add a surface model to a drawing view without having a solid?

Thanks,

JKG

RE: Surfaces in drawing view?

I don't use IGES files very much, but have had some success pulling them into MDT and then saving as a different format for use in IV. Seems like the translator in MDT is still more versitile.

Good luck
