Pro-Table Woes

Pro-Table Woes

I am using Pro/E 2000i2.  I'm not sure how, but my Pro/Table wont load any more.  My Family Table Editor and all other editors seem to work fine.  When I try to modify a hole pattern though, nothing happens.  Anybody dealt with this before

RE: Pro-Table Woes

Hi Stjohnson

Is the hole pattern in a table form?  You can have hole patterns not in table form.

Yes, it is in table form.

RE: Pro-Table Woes

Please explain your problem a little better.

Is this a pattern table that you are attempting to modify or does the feature refuse to pattern when the model is opened?

Beginning with i or i2 the pattern tables show up in a drop down menu.

Did you recently install i2 from an older version?

It is not necessarily anything to do with the pattern table.  For example.  If you do a save as on an assembly, Pro/E will ask you if you want to copy the parts also.  If you select any of the parts, it pops open Pro/Table dialog so that you can enter new part names.  This is how I have nailed it down to Pro/Table.

No I didn't just install from an older version, but that is a very valid question :) given PTC's history.  This feature worked and just recently quit working.

Thanks for the prompt responses

RE: Pro-Table Woes

This might be something as simple as a corrupt protable executable.
Short of reloading Proe you might try overwriting the executable in the bin directory with an older backup.
Also you might try running it from the bin directory.
If it works it will tell you whether it's the executable file or something else not allowing it to run: Proe setting or some other newly installed software.

RE: Pro-Table Woes

Did you solve this problem ?
I have a similar file, and I'd love to know why.

RE: Pro-Table Woes

(OP)
No it has not.  I haven't had much time to play with it, but I don't think it is the file, it seems like maybe it is not getting called correctly.

RE: Pro-Table Woes

You can send it to me and I'll try it for you if you like.
