Series reactors to limit short circuit current

I'm trying to get 3 series reactors to limit short circuit current. The nominal current is 2000 A and 1 ohm of inductive reactance to reduce the short circuit current from 34 kA to 22 kA. The dc resistence has to be as low as possible to reduce losses.

RE: Series reactors to limit short circuit current

Are you looking for suppliers of reactors for your application?

RE: Series reactors to limit short circuit current

(OP)
Yes, I am looking for series reactors suppliers for the interconection of a cogeneration plant with the public electric grid. The paper mill was working always isolated. I'm trying with Trench Group, but I'd like to see other option. If you know another supplier could be great!

RE: Series reactors to limit short circuit current

Ritz also makes such a reactor. www.ritzusa.com

RE: Series reactors to limit short circuit current

Try Alstom. I know they have a plant in South America which builds these units.

Try  www.tde.alstom.com

In order to optimize ALSTOM’s design proposal for a current limiting reactor, the following technical information is required:

Rated Current (Arms)
Rated Impedance (Ω) or Rated Inductance (mH) or Voltage Drop (%) or Short-circuit Power before Reactor (MVA)
Short-circuit Power after Reactor (MVA) or Short-circuit Current before Reactor (kArms)
Short-circuit Current after Reactor (kArms)
Tolerance (% normally -0/+20 %)
Short-time current-duration (kArms/s)
Offset Peak Current (kAp – normally 2.55 x kArms value)
Mounting: single phase (side-by-side) – three phase – no preference

Thanks everybody for your help. The series reactors have been installed with success. Finally Trech Group was the best option.
