Irrigation Design Software

Irrigation Design Software

(OP)
I am looking to find some irrigation design software, preferably to work inside AutoCAD 2000 [Land Development Desktop R2] or AutoCAD 2000i [Land Development Desktop R2i] it can be stand alone also if it can use dwg files as base.

We do golf courses so the sites sometimes run in the neighborhood of 300 - 400 acres and use 1500-3000 sprinkler heads. So software needs to be able to handle many heads.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

RE: Irrigation Design Software

You might consider contacting Rainbird Sprinkler Co.

RE: Irrigation Design Software

There are a number of irrigation design options that are AutoCAD based. EaglePoint Software (who purchased LandCadd a few years back) is just releasing 'Advanced Irrigation' specifically designed to aid large irrigation design projects. AutoGolf also is an AutoCAD add-on that also includes irrigation design components. Having worked on golf course design projects, I've tended to build my own AutoCAD routines that handle 95% of the layout process. Then I've used a program called WaterPipe to easily perform the calculations.

I hope this helps.
