Riks/Instability-Analysis

Riks/Instability-Analysis

(OP)
Hello,

i am trying to simulate the post buckling behaviour of a flat structure (plate). The structure ist fixed at some boundaries. The driving force for the instability is the temperature expansion. I introduced trigger loads to start the unstable behaviour.
During the riks-step i get negative load-proportional-factors or -in one case- a step drop of the lpf to about -10e^6.
Can someone explain me this miracle!
Thanks in advance!
