Cohesion of Asphalt

We are trying to model a roadway FEM in PLAXIS.  Where could I find values for the Cohesion of asphalt or related wearing surfaces?

RE: Cohesion of Asphalt

The first place that I would look for this information is with the suppliers of asphaltic cement, emulsified asphalts, admixtures, etc.  Colas Group for example maintains a large research and development department.

If you are looking for a general range of typical values, try the Turner Fairbank Highway Reasearch Center (FHWA) or the Asphalt Institute.

What exactly are you modeling?

Thanks.   I'll take a look.

We are creating a FEM of a Concrete Culvert.  It's for a Level 1 Load Rating for NY DOT.
