What I'm looking for is a material that exhaust piping could be made out of, use close to the head or even for the exhaust runners for the header.

The material would need to expand internally without cracking whe heat increased.

Lets say that the internal diameter of the piping was two inches and that a diameter of two inches is sufficent for the airflow requirements of the exhaust system up until X amount of RPM (e.g. 5000)where the exhaust gasses are traveling faster and more dense that they were at lower RPM (e.g. 2000). It would be desireable that the internal diameter of the piping would increase from two inches to two and 1/8 inch for example.

Is there a material that anyone knows of that is capable of doing this. When most people design exhaust manifolds or turbo downpipes they use 321 stainless, since it does not expand greatly due to heat, although I'm looking for the exact opposite, but without cracking.

Anyone?
