Section Arrows in a Dwg.

Section Arrows in a Dwg.

Section Arrows in a Dwg.

(OP)
All,
I'm new at SW. I've placed my first view and I want
to create a full section view, but I can't place my section line directly on the centerline of my initial view. I must place the section line then dimension it from an edge. Is there a quick way to place the section line right on a centerline? Is there a way to make the section line collinear to a centerline?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Matt B.

RE: Section Arrows in a Dwg.

Sketch the line close to where you want it to be.

Then while holding down the CTRL-key, select the centerline on the drawing view and either the origin or a plane from the part out of the Feature Manager.

Mate them colinear and then hit the section icon while the line is still highlighted.
