Anyone have information on engineering certification and Mexico? My brother passed the FE exam and worked for a year in the states before moving to Mexico. He wants to get licensed (mainly for future use), but not sure if it is possible. And if so, who should he contact and what hoops need to be jumped through?

www.ncees.org has really good cross references to the state board web pages. I'd suggest to anyone that they make sure the state they pick accepts NCEES council records (it is hard to believe how easy that makes reciprocity applications).
Good luck to him.

If you do graduate and get a Professiional Diploma you still have to be accepted by the Professional Associations many of whos members are of Spanish m not Indian ( or native Mexican origon). Having worked there I can tell you the people with the spanish surnames who can trace their history back to Spain still think they are better and entitled to run things, Mexico is still a Spanish colony ot them.
Mexico is still a stratified society, If you study it ( or llive ther for a while ) themore you may see why money isn't the only reason people want out of there.

In the future, he wants to be able to work as a licensed engineer in the US, getting the appropriate state license at that time.
